Chapter 13
Why do you think Joey's mom doesn't want him to meet his dad? Do you think it just because of the reasons she has given him or could there be more?

I think it is beacause of how Joey's dad drinks.Joey's mom is worried that whan she meets him he will be drunk or not like joey for who he is. At first Joey started to really want to meet his dad but then he started thinking maybe it wasnt such a good idea.I think there would be more reasons why.
joeys mom doesnt want him to see his dad because he drinks and she doesnt like him so she thinks he wont like him.his dad may be drunk or sober, nice or mean to them. maria lovely
I think there is more to it. I think Joey's mom doesn't want him to meet his dad because she does not want to see his dad, to also protect Joey because his dad is a bad influence, and beacause she doesn't like his dad so she thinks Joey won't like him.
I think Joey's mom doesn't want him to meet his dad because of the reasons in the book and also because his mom might not want to see him after so long and she might not want Joey to see his father in the condition he was in.
I think she doesn't want Joey to meet his dad because she does not want him to hurt Joey.Joeys mom said he could be drunk,as mean as snake, or as nice as anyone could be.
I think there was more to it, I think Joey's mom didn't want Joey to get his hopes up because his dad might not like him, his dad might be drunk, or Joey's mom might not want to meet him again.
I think that there is more than just the reasons that she gave him and i think she does not want joey to meet his dad because he might not be a good influence for joey because of his drinking problem and she is afraid that joey has a picture of him in his head and that if he meets his dad his dad might not even be that way and not remember joey and joey will be dissapointed.
